Coyote Hunting

Hunting coyotes has a simple allure. The calling and hide and seek dance that takes place makes for some thrilling fun. They are smart and easily spooked making for a tough combination when you’re after this wily critter. But there it is. The fun comes in the hunt. The test comes in the trickery. The reward comes in your shooting!
We hunt primarily November through March. As snow begins to cover the higher elevations, coyotes are moving to lower areas and becoming more concentrated along with deer, antelope, and rabbits.

Terrain will vary in the ROE Program while coyote hunting. From spot and stalk in grass fields to set up in sagebrush draws while calling with both electronic and mouth calls. Coyote hunting is quite addicting. These predators show up almost like ghosts in the woods, presenting the hunter with often quick close range shots or “hanging” up at 300 yards making you control your breathing and squeeze that trigger.
Typical hunts will be either 1 or 2 hunters per guide. Dress for cold wet weather with great boots. We recommend all 22 centerfire calibers up to 7MM.
